The Education and Lifelong Learning Sub-Group of the LSP are organising a Bassetlaw Skills Fair to promote the opportunities for education and training within the district. This will be held on the 15th May 2003 at the National Fluid Power Centre and will link in to Adult Learners Week 10-16 May 2003. 

The day will begin with a Breakfast Break meeting organised by the Chamber of Commerce where local businesses can share learning success stories and training schemes. 

This will be followed later in the morning by a Voluntary Sector meeting, where organisations within the district will discuss how they can provide training opportunities or support training providers. It will also provide an occasion where they can share information on schemes already in place. 

Throughout the day there will be an exhibition open to the public and schools where training providers, including local businesses will have stands/ interactive stalls, giving information and advice on the education and training opportunities they can offer.

The day will end will an Awards Ceremony, where we will be giving out Bassetlaw Lifelong Learning Awards.  Categories for nomination include:
