New Community

The BLSP New Community Group (NCG) was set up in response to the increasing numbers of A8 migrant workers coming to Bassetlaw. It is believed that the majority are Polish but there are limitations to government data sources national, regionally and locally on the profile of new migrant workers.

This was formed by the merger of two existing groups. One based at Portland School working with the new migrant workers families and local community and an existing BLSP Group that had been set up by the BLSP to identify the needs of the new community in Bassetlaw
